Hi There,

I've recently set up a pix  506e firewall for a small office but I'm having problems getting a VPN connection to work correctly.

The VPN Clients use Windows PPTP VPN connections. I've followed the configuration given by Cisco in the following article http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a0080143a5d.shtml

The clients can connect to the network without any problems and are picking up an ip address from the pool, but the are unable to connect to other machines or the internet when connected using the VPN. On the client side it appears that packets are being sent, but after authentication no packets are being received. Using the debug ppp error command I noticed the following errors when clients are connecting:

PPP - dev 2, rcv data pkt, but ipcp protocol is not up

PPP - dev 2, rcv data pkt, but ipcp protocol is not up

PPP - dev 2, rcv data pkt, but ipcp protocol is not up

PPP - dev 2, rcv data pkt, but ipcp protocol is not up

Has anyone any idea as to where the problem may be. Thanks in advance for any help.
