I had to re-format my hard drive yesterday because my computer was slowing down and after a week of trying to figure out the problem, I gave up.
After I had formatted, I discovered that my cd-rom drive isn't working. the only other drive is a cd-rw, which has to have the driver installed in order to work, so now I can't re-install windows. ( Which is of course on a CD. )
So now I'm stuck with my only computer operating system-less, and I can't figure a way to do this. A thought did strike me, that if I could find a version of windows that allows you to install from floppy disks, ( the only removable drive I have that is working ) I could install windows that way and then figure out what is wrong with the cd-rom drive and then re-install my version of windows. Problem is, I don't know how to do that as I've got no clue where to get windows on floppy disks anymore.
Any suggestions ? ( Please, please help me, I've got exams for graduation next week and that requires an essay on cd. I'll have to write the whole thing in 15 minute increments from the library if don't fix this. )
