Outlook 2002,  will receive email. Once I try to send, Outlook fails and appear to freeze.

I assume the problem is a result of a virus or worm of some kind. I was using XP in safe mode (without anti-virus and firewall) and browsed sites (forgot that I was in this mode). When I reset - problem remained.

This also effects all web connected activity (browsing). Force close of outlook leads to above application (Thor...) needing to be ended manually. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Scanned with latest McAfee, used the inbox repair tool, deleted and recreated rules and accounts and exported and re-imported mail...

What is this error and how do I remove it?

Ahh, the old ThorConnWndClass error, eh?  Try installing SP1 for XP if you haven't already, if you have already, try running System File Checker
