TypeOf objCont.Container Is SSTab

The above line causes the error 'User defined type not defined'

I'm using late binding to parse a container control into my procedure.  It could be a frame, picturebox or an SSTab.  The module processing this is a class module in a dll that contains no forms but I have selected ms windows common controls 6 in my components list and thus have access to the SSTab.  I can see it in my toolbar.  Also I have switched off 'remove information about unused active x controls'.

What could be causing this error?

Actually I'm parsing a control but want to see what type of container the control is contained by.

That was supposed to be a corection.  In the original statement I said I was parsing a container control.  I actually am not I'm parsing the control itself.
