Hi,
i am trying to enter into kde directly without waitting for login-password at kdm. In other words is there any way to tell kdm or init process to login at a predefined user-password? Please advice.

Quick answer : Yes!

More useful answer :  BASED ON KDE 3.1 - It is possible on most (all?) versions of KDE, but the location may vary somewhat.

Run (as root) the KDE control center - accessed from the bottom left toolbar menu if the toolbar is at the bottom of your screen.
Select the System Administration entry, then the login manager and then the "convenience" tab.
The first entry is automatic login - just select the required user.

That's it.

Let us know how it goes.  If it doesn't work, you'll need to give us more details about your system and software versions.

Paul
