what does it do when you boot the OS?
When it asks if you want to repair the first time say no, after that it will give you the option to to perform another type of repair and it will recover the OS. This may not be 100% true, but that is how it works for the Win2k and Winxp installs and the installer looks like it is the same. Good luck.

what does it do when you boot the OS?
The screen with Windows Server 2003 is show, but 1 sec later the computer is restarted.

When I boot from CD, i have 3 options
1.- To setup Windows now press ENTER
2.- To repair a Windows installation using Repair Console press R
3.- to quit press F3
I press R, and the promt ask for the administrator passwword, I type it and the prompt is:
c:\windows\

Press enter, then another option to repair windows should come up. Choose that one.
BTW that first recovery option puts you into the recovery console, the other option should be labled repair windows. This is done after it scans for previous windows installs right after you press enter on the screen you mentioned. (or it should if it is the same as win2k and winxp)

ok, i do that, but when the computer restart for copy the files a new message appear.
Setup was unable access files needed to continue. This should be caused by an error on the CD Media or the CD is no longer present in the drive. Rety or Cancel
When I press Cancel a new message appear:
Internal Setup data structure are corrupted (phase0)
I really worry about it, my data is on my disk, i don´t want to loss it.
There is another question, I have dual boot : RH Linux 8 and win2k3(damaged), It is any way to view the data on my ntfs partition on my w2k3 OS, If I can do that I can backup my data in the linux partition and make a clean installation of w2k3
thanks for your help

I love how they leave out minor details like "There is another question, I have dual boot : RH Linux 8 and win2k3(damaged)"
Ok newjacc Here is what you need to do
install the HD in a diffrent computer running 2000 or XP as a slave drive, then the OS will reconize the drive an you will be able to access the NTFS partition

If you want to access the NTFS partition, you can do this with a NTFS bootdisk which is available freely at:
http://www.ntfs.com/boot-disk.htm

Sounds like you damaged the registry. You should be able to simply reinstall w3k. Leave the current file system intact no changes.
And none of the actual file directory will be affected. Even your old desktop will be saved.

What kind of hardware are you using, maybe your system is old and the CDROM is not working properly?? The suggestion I gave should allow you to do a re-install regardless of the condition of the win2k3 registry, because it starts to boot we know that the partition is OK, so what is wrong with your cdrom drive? Try another one.
Hello newjacc,
Hmm, it's been more than two weeks, so I don't know if it's still an issue to you, but ...
Check out the Linux NTFS project, which has a RedHat page at http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/info/redhat.html which provides RPMs that allows you to mount an NTFS volume in Linux. At the current state of the project, though, it seems that you, using Linux, can only read from an NTFS volume, which will suffice if you want to backup data from the W2K partition. On a related note, to read data on an EXT2/3 volume from within W2K, check out http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/ext2ifs.htm (if you wanna restore the backup data to the W2k partition later).
Goodluck.
