Mouse scroll and click & drag will not work in my Pagemaker program. I have checked all mouse settings and they seem to be correct and the mouse does work in all other programs. Your expertise is appreciated! Direct replies can be forwarded to advancedwater@cfl.rr.com           Thanks

Try removing the mouse driver in the device manager, then reboot to reinstall the drivers.

Try turning off any options you may have set in pagemaker.   Try turning off any applications running in the background while pagemaker is going.  Has the pagemaker problem  just started?  Did the program work ok at one time?  Have you installed anything recently that may be causing a minor software conflict?
If all else fails,  try an uninstall/reinstall.

The problem in Pagemaker has existed sine it was loaded in the new system. Don't see any options running that are possible to turn off. The program worked when I was using 98, now I have XP. Previously I  ahve also removed and reinstalled the drivers with no improvement ????? I will try uninstallingreinstalling Pagemaker.

Had a friend  who upgraded from w98 to xp on an older laptop machine, and his mouse pointer disappeared  sometimes when he was using autocad.  He solved the problem by installing new video drivers for his card .
Everything else seemed to work ok except for the autocad program.
On the off chance, you might want to check one of the driver sights for updated video drivers for xp for your particular card, particularly if its an older one..(I don't remember whether or not  any video conflict showed up in device manager before he installed the new driver).
