After finally gotten our NT4 server SP6/Exchange 5.5 SP4 up again after a crash, now port 25 is not open, so we can't receive any mail.
Port 80 is open (OWA works fine).
THIS IS NOT FIREWALL RELATED - everything ran fine before the crash, and the server has the same internal IP as before the crash.
MS Exchange Internet Mail Service is not listed under Control Panel / Services !!
I've tried re-applying SP4 followed by a reboot - still same problem.
I've tried portqry the server from our internal LAN: It states "TCP port 25 (smtp service): NOT LISTENING"
Backup/Restore Software: Veritas Backup Exec 7.3 IDR + Exchange Agent.
Hoping for a quick reply in this urgent matter.
