i need help finding the drivers to this barebone . . . . .
my friend bought this barebone for college, because it wasn't that bad of a price for their price limit. It isn't that bad of a computer, but i can't find the drivers for it.
i need the video driver and sound driver. they seem to be standard drivers, but i couldn't find the right ones.
it didn't come with a disk of drivers because it is a barebone kit.
the computer is a Famous Brand / Celeron 2.0GHz / 256MB / 60GB / CDRW-DVD Combo / NIC / 56K / NO OS / Refurbished Desktop PC
i need drivers for these:
Intel Extreme Integrated 3D Graphics (up to 64MB shared)
Integrated AC '97 Audio
here is a link for the computer we bought:

if the pc is booting, you just need to have a look at the cryptic string at the bottom which is shown when memory count is in progress,
from that string you can identify the manufacturer of the mobo and link to his website.
there you might find all the required drivers (if he has given!)
to decipher the code, you need to go to www.wimsbios.com.
or you can just post that ocmplete line here and we might try to help you out..

You will also need to identify your chipset for the audio. Different makers have different drivers for the same ac'97 audio contoller.
Try downloading and install this program to see if helps. Its a really neat program that you could probably use for other things.

use the personal edition version or the enterprise one

if you have internet on that computer you can also run http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and maybe it'll find the drivers for you.

Not sure if they'll work or not, but worth a shot if all else fails.

Hmm, that link doesn't work very well, I just did a search at http://www.driverguide.com and searched for Intel and AC'97 since you haven't told us what OS you're using but It found a whole bunch of drivers for various operating systems.
