I recommend you try CesarFTP (http://www.cesarftp.org). Its very straightforward and powerful. You basically go to a control panel and add users and point a / directory to a real directory. Set permissions, and you're done.

Why don't you try and host one yourself?

Hosting a web server or a ftp one means :
1) 24/7 internet connection, at least ADSL
2) a very powerful server t hat cost 1500-2000$
3) an expert to maintaince it.

So i guess khushi2003 don't find this reasonable.

I think what khushi2003 wants is a free way to set up an ftp server (multiple logins), not a free web hosting account that has a single ftp access.

I've looked around, but wasn't able to find any free ftp servers, but found this one, that isn't free, but seems inexpensive:

Well, I still would go with setting up the FTP server by yourself. You do not need any expensive things as this is just a small group. I used to run mines on my desktop and a 128k connection (even business 56k will work). So, just get the software to your desktop, connect it to the internet, and you're fine. As of the simplicity, it is simple enough you just have to be competent to do it. Eg. know a little more than the average user about the internet.

If you wil try your one ftp server try Vermillion FTPd  http://www.arcanesoft.com/
It is the most easyest ftp server.
I'm using it elso and its stable en realtime log.

Eftp.org has a nice application with key encryption and as long as it is not commercial it is completely free and you can have upto 100 logons, the client side is pretty basic but the server applications is verry nice, I suggest it for anyone that wants to set up a secure ftp site on a microsoft platform.

I am working on a unix server right now, send me an email in a couple of weeks if you are still in need of ftp space and I will see what I can do. I only have 120gig available for dl's and I wont allow any keygens or cracks, however I do allow ISO files without serials....

there is one place that will grant you 20mb of free secure shell account.

type in new for new username, from there Im not sure about the unix line for commands.

Why using a commercial solution, when you can get one that's free (GNU license) ? Only tryed it on Windows. Works great and it's pretty easy to configure. What's more my boss is happy to get "free for commercial use" software... Can get it for almost all existing OS...
