VPN Connection and Microsoft Exchange, Lexmark Network printers.

Hello everyone,

I am connecting to the office server through a VPN connection, the operating system of the client is a laptop running Windows XP PRO, the server authenticating the VPN is Windows 2000, and the Exchange server is an NT4.0 server.
I have made sure that the passwords are correct.
The VPN connection works fine, the Login script that maps all the network drives works, I can open the folders and files.
But when I try to start Outlook, it pauses for a long time and gives me the following error message:

Connecting to Microsoft Exchange Server
Your Microsoft Excange Server is Unavailable.

RETRY WORK OFFLINE CANCEL

I have another laptop with Windows 2000 Professional with the same configurations and it does not have this problem, I can connect fine.

I also have another problem, I tried installing the Lexmark Network printers, I was able to install one, but not the other two that I was trying to connect.
I am using the Lexmark configuration wizard, and entering the printers' IP addresses from the properties window in the printers' folder, and I choose Lexmark Network Port to assign the IP address.

All this I am trying to do it over a Dial-up connection with Earthlink.

If anyone has any ideas, could you please help.
