How secure is the tsweb interface ?

Last Modified: 2013-12-04
I'm looking at running tsweb on a local web server at home now what my concerns are is how secure are the passwords whilst there been passed between the server and the external client.  I can't help thinking that it may be worth encapsulating this with ssl ?? any thoughts on this matter.  Also would it be possible to make the client server side rather than client side with out using active x controls ?

p.s this is on a windows 2000 platform (both server and pro) server just for future refrence if it makes a diffrence
