I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This information is very database-dependant. You might be able to retrieve some generic database information by importing the type library in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ADO\msadox.dll" or wherever your msadox.dll is located and then use these components to retrieve whatever information you need through ADO. It is especially useful to get table names, field names and types and several constraints but it won't generate a perfect copy.
For a perfect copy you need to use more database-specific solutions.
