Instead of having serveral East coast servers replicate with with one West coast server, I want to to keep it set up so all the East coast servers only repliacte with one East coast server and that one East coast server is the server that replicates with the West coast.

If I look under Active Directory Sites and Services at the remote Dahlgren server, my server is not listed.  If I look in the same area under my local server, the remote server is not listed.

Anyone know why I am still getting these errors.  I've made sure that the NTDS settings for each server has an entry for its replication partner(s).  I do not want my West coast server to replicate with the Dahlgren server (East coast) and I do not want the Dahlgren server (East coast) to replicate with my West coast server.  How do I get rid of these errors in the event log without creating a site settings object?  Why should I create a site settings object if I don't want the two servers to replicate?

Well you need to set an east coast and west coast server as a preferred bridgehead server....  But first we need to analyze your ad structure...
Go to www.netiq.com and download their active directory checking tool....  also from one of the dc's a dcdiag and netdiag will help us solve your problem also.

Well it looks like you have some DNS issues.  How do you have your DNS set up?  How many servers are running it?  Did you active directory intergrate it?

There are eleven domain controllers, all running DNS.  I was not the person who set it up to begin with, so I'm not sure how it was done.

That machine is in our Dahlgren, Virgina office.  The IP is 10.21.3.1

Ok does that server list itself as a DNS server in it's TCP/IP settings?
