I recently upgraded my system board and video card. I was running XPsp1 on a 20GB drive. When I attempted to load this OS from this drive on my new components it would get half way through loading then restart no matter which mode I chose. Guessing this had something to do with the activation of Windows and the OS knowing the hardware wasn't the same, I purchased a new 80GB drive put a fresh install on this drive and intended to transfer the needed data from the old drive as a slave (I couldn't just use the old components as I no longer have them). This worked fine with the all users folders but i had no luck on the my personal folder which was a password protected account. Access is denied, there's no prompt for a password. Anyone know a workaround?
