Explorer won't delete favorites

How the heck do you delete favorites? I try to use Organize Favorites, but it doesn't work like it does for Netscape, where I have a delete button when I select a favorite to remove.

In Organize Favorites have you tried selecting the ones you want to delete, and hitting the Delete key on your keyboard?

i know i have tried that several times over and it still doesn't work.

I just tried it (delete key) in IE 5.2.3 and it told me "are you sure you want to delete? If so, hit "Command Delete"
