Print to file function to create a pcl1 or pcl2 formated print file

I am needing to "print to file" and create a pcl print file in the PCL1 or PCL2 format.......

Do I do this by installing a specific printer driver that will do this, and if so, do you know of a driver that I should use?

Yes, install a printer driver. Instead of using LPT1, select FILE from the list of ports during the installation. Then, when you print, the PC will ask you for a file name.

As for which driver to use, select an early HP Laserjet, for example "HP Laserjet" or "HP Laserjet Plus". Both of these ship with all versions of Windows, so you do not need any special driver files.
