Tomcat thread priority

Hi all
I am trying to improve application running on tomcat 4.0.6 VM.
The tomcat has about 50 thread for accepting clients request and the application creates more 50 for internal use , How the tomcat will prioritize the threads? will it give the higer priority for accespting clients request?
Is it possible to change it?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The Thread class has methods for accessing a threads priority, and the ThreadGroup it belongs to. ThreadGroup has methods for accessing a parent ThreadGroup.

Starting with Thread.currentThread() you could navigate through all the systems threads and see what priority they have been set to.

That will give you some information. It is possible to set the priorities of Threads using setPriority depending on the security policy.
