Hi there!

I'm at the beginning of updating this program which was written in D5 and this proggie uses fxloc.pas which was not included by the sourcepackages of this proggie. I do have a fxloc.dcu but the proggie doesn't compile for it halts when it discovers the missing fxloc.pas. I searched the net and found a d6_fxloc.bpl but I'm using D7 so that doesn't solve my problem. I contacted the author of whom I got the source of that proggie but he doesn't use D7 at all and didn't use it back then either when he wrote his proggie. DOes anyone know whether this fxloc.pas can be downloaded somewhere or if it's part of some commercial package for all I care? Any help regarding this issue will be appreciated. Btw I already asked the author for this unit but he did not respond so far and since I'm a very patient man with a lot of patience;) i thought of contacting you guys.....

Regards and deepest respect for all the ppl out here on the number 1 source of solutions for ppl like me!;)

Cheeeeeeeeeeeerz!!.......ps links to any commercial site would be appreciated as well > paying for this unit is no problem at all I just wanna get one with updating the proggie asap.....

AFAIK, fxloc.pas is not part of the Delphi installation. I did find http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/download/fxloc.txt but don't know if it's useful. Also have a look at http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/delphi.htm where the original files are located. Apparantly the creator of this object stopped maintaining his code so a D7 version might not even exist.

My suggestion? Either contact the owner of the component and offer him cash to upgrade the component or remove it from your code and try to use some other solution...

Btw. This is exactly the reason why I NEVER use any components that don't include the sourcecode.
