I have seen this before, but I cannot remember how I fixed it. Please help. I have a PC with two CD-roms. On is a Sony CDRW the other a generic 56x Reader. They both worked OK till I had to reload the OS. I think that the generic 56x  worked until I loaded Roxio 5. Now I can use the Sony but the generic 56x is seen in the OS but it never seems to mount the cd. It just spins and spins and then stops. I think that I loaded the update patch for Roxio as well.
