I have been attempting to install Apache web server version(apache_2.0.47-win32-x86-no_ssl) + PHP version (4.3.3.3) + MySQL version (5.10.130.0) but get the following errors when installing Apache

<OS 10048>Only one usage of each socket address <protocol/network address/port> is normally permitted. :make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down.
Unable to open log.

Can you offer any advice? Best method to set up web server on my PC to get dynamic pages up and running (spent days on this now!!). I design site using Dreamweaver MX.
Many thanks,
Phil.

do you have any other software running which may be listening on port 80/TCP.

you could get to dos shell, and try "netstat -an", and check if there is a line:

Active Connections

Proto  Local Address          Foreign Address        State
  TCP    127.0.0.1:80           0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING

If there is, chances are you may have other webserver running.  Try to shutdown that webserver (or have it running on different port - other than 80), or have you Apache running on different port.

cheers.
