I just installed Windows Server 2003 standard edition from a 3 in 1 volume license disc (corporate).  I used one of the keys that came with the disc.  I went to do the updates and it says it won't update due to an invalid CD key.  Any suggestions?

If this is a legit copy you have of windows server your first choice is contancting ms. We receive corporate copies of software every month or so on and some of them dont need a license and some do. If the provided licence dont work, just call them up and they will fix you up.
