I have a maxtor 5000XT which has been running flawlessly attached by firewire to a Cube running OS9 - I purchased a G4 that is running OSX.28 and added the software and an update for OSX but I can't get the thing to show on the desktop - yet under devices it shows as being attached and when I press the "one touch button" on it retrospect loads and it wants to do a backup - but doens't recognize the maxtor drive . Any help ??
