THis doesn't have to do with language itself, really, but I need to know a good place to start looking about how to design e-commerce, from secure design down to creating cookies and having user accounts in a database.... I know it's rathe broad, but I need help because I volunteered to do something I'm not positive I can do (Best way to learn, eh?)

At any rate, It NEEDS to have information on how to employ cookies, and how to store secure information in a database and that kind of thing.

Thanks millions

Hey Jez,
You can loook into IbuySpy project (just google ibuyspy),which is an ecommerce application, which wil give u a better idea.
Personally what i wuld suggest is, do a series of steps one by one like creating a login page, check it against a database, then try to create a cookie at that page, then try to display stuff like items, from a database its rather broad. Just go through many things for each step.
hope it helps
gud luk

The good book to start with would be Microsoft Commerce Solutions Web Technology by Microsoft

Er, is there any other alternative to credit card billing companies that bill for you, that charge an arm and a leg? I mean, is there a way to do the billing yourself, or is that the only option?
