Is the code for the link on the saved page identical to the link prior to saving the page back to the server? In other words, is the link being altered by FP when you save the page?

Hi,
What did you mean by when I preview my site?  where do you preview? In Frontpage with IIS on your localhost?

If yes.  That means the web server where you publish your website to does not have sharepoint installed.  The sharepoint link gets diactivated with the server does not have sharepoint.
