"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Put some code in teh Terminate event.  You will have a little bit more time to run code theer after the agent manager terminates teh agent for going over the time limit.

If you need to store information about the agent itself, so it can continue where it was interrupted, read the Help on NotesAgent or on SavedData: "The SavedData property of NotesSession returns a NotesDocument object. The agent can use this document to store data that is persistent across invocations of the agent."
