* Cleanup Volunteers needed (JSP)*

JSP experts,

At the moment I write this message, we have 1023 open questions in this area and the oldest ones are from June 2002. So it is high time to close all these old questions.

So we search experts that:
- experts in this area just to be sure you are familiar with the questions you will have to close
- active in the last 3 months - you can be great expert but if in the last 3 months you have at all 10 comments that means you have no time...
- have some time and want to help.

I am using FASTCAT therefore the posts are done automatically. I will wait till BooMod releases an update then :)

Ok I see it. I have already changed the "ping" suggestion to four days instead of a week. Any ideas how I can modify the rest of the recommendations or shall I wait for updates?

I am bit confused now :(

The FASTCAT recommendation says (among the rest of the recommendation):

"Please leave any comments here within the next seven days."

The help page says

"Please leave any comments here within the next four days."

Don't we need to also alter FASTCAT to reflect the change (from seven to four days) or is this done automatically?

Otherwise in all my recommendations it will keep posting:

"Please leave any comments here within the next seven days."

OK. Just to let you know I will probably not be able to do some cleanup for (hopefully only) the next few days as I got transfered to another busier project. As soon as I get some free time I will get back to cleaning up again :)

A quick question. What happens when there is an irrelevant (with regards to the topic area) question? I can see several of them in the JSP area and I usually recommend a delete but I am not sure if this is the right approach.

Hello AnnieMod, I am very busy at the moment, I am still trying to do clean up but it's mainly Sundays now since I tend to work some Saturdays as well.

I have done most of it, some questions from September and the whole of October left to finish my range. I hope I will have it done during the weekend.

I can see the administrative change without the need to re-log. I will try to make the best out of it :)

Hello AnnieMod I finally finished the rest of the list. It took longer than it usually takes :( but I am only available to do clean up during weekends now.

Nope thank you, I can handle it, it only has 150 questions anyway (from which only about 120 need cleaning up) :)

BTW I will have to move back to traditional "manual" cleaning process (no FastCAT) since I am working on Linux lately.

Hello AnnieMod, how are you? Just a little message to let you know how things are going with regards to cleaning up :)

I am still active in the area and I am still up for cleaning up. However I am submitting my final year project on the first of November (I am doing a part-time MSc) and like all students I left everything for the last minute (how classic) :( So lately (in the past one month and a half) I am trying to get the dissirtation and the product done by the end of 29th of October. That's why I do not participate so often in the Java area and I have not done any JSP clean up lately.

I will have more time after the 1st of November :)

I could do yes but I am not very proficient in Linux. I just use it for my work mainly, I have knowledge of its internals but I wouldn't say I am an expert. If you think I can cope with the quality of the questions theer I am up for it :)

I can also help in the XML section (if there is any and if you need help there).

Hello AnnieMod, just to let you know, I am currently doing my military service in the greek navy (it is compulsory here in Greece) that's why I am not active in EE in the past few months. I will be done with the navy on March 2006 (hopefully I will not forget what I already know :) ) and I can start participating again after that.
