I am looking for a  application level firewall that will allow up too 5 traveling remote clients VPN access too my network.  Am I correct that the symantec 100 appliance only allows for gateway too gateway VPN and not gateway too client?  Any recommendations.  The budget is around 600 dollars.

Ok I have boiled it down too either the pix 506e or the netscreen 5XG.  The netscreen should have virus scanning from trend micro embedded on the device.  Does anyone have any experience with this applicance?

PIX 506e will do everything that you need it to (it doesn't do virus scanning). I don't have any experience with the netscreen but it appears to have similar capabilities. So if they are both functionally the same, it will come down to other factors:
cost, familiarity (do you already use Cisco routers ?), company loyalty, word of mouth, gamble ?
