Hello
We're using Crystal Reports and would like to integrate it with our coldfusion application running under MS Server 2000 and CFMX with SQL Server 2000 in the backend. The reports should be called from coldfusion template or whatever possible workaround.

As I read in this topic area an expert called "Plucka" has a great solution to this, with cfml and a little bit of ASP.

It would be great if he or someone else can give or provide help.

Greetings

Hi,

you can run reports with <cfreport>:

<cfreport
   report = "report_path"
   dataSource = "ds_name"
   type = "type"
   timeout = "number of seconds"
   orderBy = "result_order"
   username = "username"
   password = "password"
   formula = "formula"></cfreport>

A few remarks: type is not valid for Crystal Reports 8.0 and dataSource is the Crystal Reports datasource, NOT the CF datasource. Check the CF documentation on <cfreport> for more details.

HTH,

Chris

Lease-to-own eliminates the expenditure of hardware replacement and allows you to pay off the server over time. Usually, this is much cheaper than leasing servers. Think of lease-to-own as credit without interest.
