Deleting mailbox in Exchange 5.5 has left Mailbox resource in Private Information Store

I deleted a mailbox from the Server Recipients container but it still appears in the Private Information Store. If I double-click on the resource I get the message

The object cannot be found in the directory. This may be because replication has not completed.

This means that when I try to back up all mailboxes with BackupExec it fails because it can connect to the deleted mailbox but can't back it up.

Is there any way I can force delete the mailbox resource so BackupExec no longer sees it?
