I need to practice installationa and configuration of Firewall-1 and Cisco firewalls and have heard that there are 30-days trial CDs. Does anyone what I need to do to get this or what else I could do?

In terms of the Cisco practice, I'm sure you're aware the PIX is an actual appliance, not just software, so you'd need to purchase one. You can get a used PIX 501 for between $350 - $400 on ebay (maybe less if you're lucky). The PIX 501 will do all the same stuff that the larger models do, it just has some restrictions on it, EG:

- max 10 inside users
- max 10 VPN tunnels

There are a few other small differences, but for practice purposes, they are the same as the higher models and you can still test everything you need to.
