i have windows 2000 server running terminal services and tsac.  certain users on our network can acess the server via the web and remote desktop connection client.  While others can not.  For example the individual sitting next to me can acess the server (web, and rdc) while i can not.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jack make sure all your lients have the same client and are running the appropriate protocals to be able to access the server.  TCP/IP is a must, So is the client.  If you are running in mixed mode you will need Netbios.

Did you look in your user account on the server, to see if you are "Allowed to logon to terminal server"

>AD users and computers
>specific user account
>Terminal Services Profile tab.
>Check box "allow logon to terminal server"

I ran into this same thing a while back.

Good Luck!

This definately sounds like a permissions problem, since some people can and others can't.  What similarities are there amongnst the people who can't log in, same OU, same Dept.  They might be in a global group that is not allowed to log on locally to the TS.
