does anyone know of a free graphical development envitonment for PPC platform?

borland do a plugin for builder6 but i'm only running v5

alternatively, how would i compile for PPC2003 using borland builder5?

Microsoft provides a free graphical development environment.
You can download eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/developer/default.mspx

Also be sure to download the Service Packs and the Pocket PC 2003 SDK.

thanks for the info... problem... i am running win98. SDK for 2002 & 2003 needs win2k

also, embedded developer 4.0 needs win2k

any other suggestions?

You could try Visual CE.  I have never used it, but looking at their website they seem to be continually improving the product.

Unfortunately it is not free.

If your application is Generic in nature you could write it with eMbedded Tools 3.0. Just compile for the ARM processor and copy the executable on to the handheld.
