Address book was recovered by re-installing Windows and Office without data. Now I need to import an older data file from a different computer.
However Export and Import are not enabled on either computer.
I found WABMIG.EXE in the outlook directory that appears to allow migrating addresses from a CSV file. Any suggestions?

I exported my old desktop data and imported it on my laptop.
What is confusing is that the File: Import - Export menus were initally disabled and I couldn't access the feature. Now the feature is enabled.

Answer to mystified
I found import - export on the OutLook File menu not the address book menu. Apparently OE takes over control of address book

Glad you got it fixed. Warren
there is a pst repair tool on the microsoft site. so you don't have to uninstall and reinstall. if there is a problem with your pst you need to repair it. you should be able to search there site or download.com for the software.
Look for your data files ending in .pst and back them up. Then reinstall and put your datafiles back in their original position and try it.
Here is one person struggling with a similar problem
