How to start windows with out a floppy disk drive?

I have a Gateway2000 solo laptop and it dose not have a floppy disk drive. When I starts it windows 98 flashes and then Type the name of the command interpreter (e.g.,c:\windows\command.com) comes on the screen. How do I get windows 98 to start ?

Greetings, marymm!
   You need to start with the Gateway 2000 recovery or system CD.  It may allow you to do a repair or require a reinstall.
