Hi,

I'm currently looking to develop an application that will use barcode. I was wondering if there were any good tool available for free. I saw many of them but some are quite expensive ..

Also, I would like to have some pointers as to how easy it is to develop an application to be run on a palm pilot or something like that that runs window. If so, which language is best to use to assure compatibility?

Thanks to everyone who will participate to this question,

I developed a program for stock control with barcodes , You could use a free barcode font 3 of 9 from www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font . Just change the text font in your program to the 3 of 9 and you will have a printable barcode on any laser printer . no special printer needed .
