Problem with merged cells in Export to Excel

I am using crystal with  ASP.NET 2003 ( This is crystal 9.0 , I believe ). I run a crystal report using the crystal viewer control, then export into Excel ( Excel 2000 ), using the export icon . As some of the columns are created as Merged cells, Excel will not sort them.

I understand that this problem was raised in this forum but the advice was to upgrade to Crystal 9.0. ( which I am using )  - but I still have this problem - is this a known limitation, is there a workaround ?

Did your Crystal come with VS.Net or did you buy CR9 separately?  If it is it may CR.Net.

You can check the version like most Windows products.  Help --> About Me

As you found out you have CR.Net.  A quick check of the CR web site doesn't shed any light on your problem  You may need to upgrade to CR9.
