What am I doing wrong in the following script. I can't capture the OK (true) button.

show message["do you wish to process another level?"]
if["status(currentmessagechoice= 1)"]
show message ["you selected ok."]
else
show message ["you selected false"]
end if

I am using Filemaker 5.5

You are almost there.

show message["do you wish to process another level?"]
if ["status(currentmessagechoice= 1)"]
show message ["you selected ok."]
else
show message ["you selected false"]
end if

-----------------------------------------------------------
Should look like this - put the 1 outside the function
-----------------------------------------------------------

show message["do you wish to process another level?"]
if ["status(currentmessagechoice) = "1""]
show message ["you selected ok."]
else
show message ["you selected false"]
end if
