When I play any game on my notebook, it always seem to lock up and I am wondering why is this happening? Is my video card not fast enough?

Sounds like a classic case of old drivers.  Download the latest drivers from nVidia's website and download the latest DirectX drivers.

That would be a good start.

Or check the websites of the game developers for patches.

If patching your software/drivers doesn't fix it, you might look into hardware issues (bad RAM, overheating CPU/GPU, bad fans, etc.)
