This probably doesn't go in the graphics section but it doesn't really fit in the javascript area either.

I have a pdf form, I want the field to be validated that is has something in it when they try to tab or click on the next field.  I have it checked off to be a required field but that only seems to work if I am having the form submited to a server.  I just want it filled out (correctly) and printed.

Anyone have any ideas?
thanks,
Kristie

Use the following Javascript for the On Blur event:

var field = getField("ThisField").value;
if (field == "") app.alert("Please provide information for ThisField");

Replace the field name "ThisField" with your actual field name.

To create this Javascript as the On Blur handler select properties for your input field, then select the "Actions" tab.
Set "Select Trigger" to "On Blur" and click on the "Add" button. Type the two lines (with the correct field name) into the edit window.
