How can I upload files to place for others to download them through the internet?
Do i need a web site?

You donot have a website of your own

You can have a ftp server in your machine and people can download from your machine directly

or you can have a yahoo briefcase ( i mean you have to have an yahoo account)

Login and put the file there

Give the login information to whoever who wants to download..

they can login there and download the file
