I have Microsoft Shared Fax set up on MS SBS.
It has been configured to send faxes from word, etc using the fax printer, and this works well.
I was under the impression that this would enable faxes to be sent via email.
The book "Small Business Server Best Practices 2000" suggests that all that is required is to put the phone number into the 'to:' section of the email address using the format [fax:9999999].
I have tried this and have only been able to come up with a undeliverable message, the exchange server is trying to find the email address when a fax number is provided.
Can anyone help me send a fax via the email?
