Is direct connection to SQL possible?

Can any of the AS2 datacontrols make a direct connection to a SQL2K Stored Procedure (outputting XML) eliminating the need for an ASP page? any tutes?

The link looks like it substitutes php for asp. am i missing something - i'm trying to avoid an intermediate file of any sort...asp or php?

there is no way at all to connect directly to SQL...

you have to use some type of Server Side Code like PHP or ASP...


no other way...
