I'm using crystalreport ocx to call out crystal report. I met a very weird situation where I have updated my database, and when I try to open my crystal report from vb6, the new data isn't shown.

The weird thing is that some of my report can "auto refresh" which I can get my updated data, while some of my other report, i need to manually open the report from crystal report application, refresh data and save it, then only i will get updated data from my vb.

May I know how to solve this kind of question?

Check to see if you are saving the data with the report.  For some reason this is the default.

Open one of the problem reports
Click FILE
If there is a check next to SAVE DATA WITH REPORT uncheck it.
Save the report

With no report open
Click FILE --> OPTIONS
Uncheck SAVE DATA WITH REPORT

You will need to uncheck the SAVE DATA WITH REPORT on each report.
