"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Ok first off, the developer edition of CF is specifically designed around the Dev environment but will not allow you to connect more IP addresses than specified, this is specifically to stop people using the developer edition in a live environment. There is no work around that I know of short of purchasing either the pro or enterprise versions, or of course getting a CF hosting package.

Secondly, you say people cannot see your site, how have you configured everything to work?

I would need a little more information from you to give you a more informed answer.
