Can you take your 40 GB HD out and t ry it in another machine?

Dear experts,<br />

Today I connected one 40GB HDD(Primary) and a 10GB HDD(Secondary) in a Celeron 333Mhz machine. I want to delete the partitions from the 10GB hdd. I am sure, I did what I want. But after that my 40GB Hdd become non bootable. It's showing DISK BOOT FAILURE . INSERT SYSTEM DISK message. I don't know what went wrong. I suspecting the motherboard. It's behaveing erattic some times. Now what I have to do..? How I can recover the data from the 40 GB hdd..? There are two partitons in the disk. One is 10 GB and another one is 15GB. pl help me...<br />
