Visual Application to modify TIFF images..PLEASE ADVISE!!!

Hey All,

I desperately need to develop a small visual basic application that monitors a folder for incoming files (Multi-Page TIFF Images). When one or more arrive, I need to have a small method or function to take the image and crop it down to a certain size. I can easily write most all of this application with the exception of the image modification function. I would love to know how to take a TIFF image file in vb code and physically crop about 1/2 inch from the top of it. Please advise on how to accomplish this. If you need more information about this or what I am trying to accomplish, let me know.

You can call external command line application for image croping. In the past I've used succefully free tool Image Magick ( http://www.imagemagick.org ).

Recently they even added COM interface, but I haven't tested it. For details see http://www.imagemagick.net/www/ImageMagickObject.html
