cable quality?

hi,
i purchased a svhs to rca cable on ebay so that i could plug my laptop into the tv but the cable is 7pin svhs rather than 4 pin which is on my laptop. Instead I thought of another Idea I plugged it into my main pc and it works , but it wouldnt be very convienient moving my main pc everytime i want to watch a film on the tv e.t.c and i need to extend the cable about 15metres. Would it be a good idea if i (i know this sounds crazy) cut the cable then soldier extra wire to extend it by another 15m. Would the picture quality still be reasonably good customly extending the length of the cable.
Help greatly appriciated thanks,

There might be 7 pins on your adaptor but only 4 of them are used.
I'm not sure about your soldering skills but suspect a M-F S-VIDEO cable entender to extend your length would be a better idea, you should be able to extend your S-Video out to 100ft. They usually run around $.50 a foot or so.
