Here's some general information about BDE and Btrieve. If you want more specific information, you'll need to post more information (version of Delphi/C++ Builder, version of Btrieve, etc).

Btrieve 6.15
- To use BDE, you'll need an ODBC driver.
- ODBC wasn't originally included with Btrieve v6.15
- THere is no DBExpress driver.
- THe Btrieve API is an option.
- Titan (http://www.reggatta.com) may be an option but I've never worked with it.

Pervasive.SQL v7
- ODBC was included with the product and can be used with BDE.
- THere is no DBExpress driver.
- THe Btrieve API is an option.
- Titan (http://www.reggatta.com) may be an option but I've never worked with it.

Pervasive.SQL 2000 and V8
- ODBC was included with the product and can be used with BDE.
- THere is no DBExpress driver.
- THe Btrieve API is an option.
- PDAC (Pervasive Direct Access Components) are VCL components that emulate the BDE but do not require the BDE.
- Titan (http://www.reggatta.com) may be an option but I've never worked with it.
- ADO can be used with either the ODBC driver or OLEDB.

More information about Btrieve and Pervasive.SQL and PDAC is available at Pervasive's web site (http://www.pervasive.com).
