1782-disk control failure
That is what i get. I tried loading Win XP Pro on my compaq computer. I just bought a Maxar 40gb HD for it. When i start up I get that error. If you need more info Ill give it to you. Please just help me.

Give more details.  What kind of computer do you have?  List some specs like bios manufacturer and all that...
